![]() I loved Des Ex, played it too many times but most of the interactivity and biomods. The lack of need and lack of use is what always leads to simplification. SO who cares if they eliminated all of the biomod options? Maybe they couldn't think of anything useful to add or replace the originals with so they decided to scrap most of it rather than re-invent gimmiks. Most of the Biomods in the origional were mostly impractical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that were mostly unhelpful. Even Human Revolution is completely different, but still great. Sure I had the same "WTF" Feelings but the game is good it's own way. So they make the console game run on the PC. ![]() How are they gonna make a PC game run on a console when both are released the same time, they won't they can't. ![]() I FIGURED it was built the Xbox then ported to the PC, because during a multiplatform release that's just common sense. DX:IW has the OPTION to remove the unneeded tooltips and PRESS X TO Y-type things. *EDIT: I should correct myself on this point. Hell, it even suffers less from modern game-itis than HR (no "PRESS X TO Y" on things*, no regenerating health outside of a biomod that relies on a limited pool of bio energy to work, no tutorial prompts.) Compared to the original, which admittedly set the bar very high, IW just isn't as good. ![]() Basically, it's how simplified in mechanics it is compared to the original (no skills, very simplified biomods, UNIVERSAL AMMO), facial animations that look WORSE than the original's, horrendously bad porting (when a computer from 2009 has trouble running this thing regardless of settings, something's wrong with the game), tiny levels with constant loading screens, the fact that you have to HACK THE ENGINE to adjust FOV despite Unreal 2 at its core being very capable of something called a CONSOLE and FOV command, being made for the xbox and ported to PC. ![]()
